About Karl

I have worked as a High School Math, Physics and Chemistry teacher for the last 15 years. I am a currently registered QLD teacher and tutor multiple students throughout the week. Having taught these subjects in the classroom, I know the Queensland syllabus well and understand where students commonly lose marks. I focus on building genuine understanding and confidence, so students not only improve their results but also feel capable tackling challenging problems on their own.

About the lesson

Every lesson is built around the student, shaped to how they learn and where they need the most help. Rather than taking a nod as proof that they understand, I check regularly that ideas have really sunk in, and I only move on once they have. We start by working through things together, then I step back so the student takes over more of the work themselves. If an explanation isn’t landing, I change tack straight away. The aim is solid understanding at every step, so each new topic rests on firm ground. I also supply practice material for extra revision and test preparation.
