About Toby
I am from Brighton in the UK and since 2007 I have taught English in a variety of settings across the world. I love to volunteer and I have acted as voluntary teacher in Latin America, Africa and Asia, gaining invaluable expereince of education in LMIC countries.
Having been an EAP teacher since 2018, I have been asuccessful and accomplished IETLS instructor with an excellenttrack record of getting the most out of my students and pushing them to achieve their desired realists. I am constantly receiving feedback that I am a very strong motivator and I am able to establish trust and a positive working relationship with my students in a short time frame.

I am a CELTA qualified teacher with over 15 years of teaching experience across all levels and age groups. Since 2018, I have also been an EAP teacher and have successfully coached many groups to achieve their desired IELTS results.
I believe in tailoring my classes to the student's specific needs and interests. I am always looking for engaging and communicative ways to give my lessons, and I maximise student talking time y placing the onus on the student to communicate as much as possible.
