About Andrew

I'm a highly experienced A Level and IB tutor working from home. My role is to improve your understanding of concepts in Physics and Maths, work through past paper questions with you while improving your confidence in the subject so that you can achieve the grades you need to progress. The exam results of my students are exemplary.

About the lesson

I focus on the use of past papers to really improve student confidence. I do not use PowerPoint presentations as I believe each individual requires a tailored and nuanced approach. I like to see how students approach problems and give them alternative avenues to improve their understanding and, ultimately, their performance in examinations. I focus on A Level and IBHL/SL so this is usually students in the Sixth Form. My lessons are usually 1 hour. As an ex Head of Physics in a prestigious overseas school, I believe that I understand the way that students think and appreciate the common errors they make in answering examination questions.
