About Julia
I have taught in schools around the world for a number of years and remain enthusiastic about my subjects; I am committed to helping my students fulfil their potential. I patiently help them understand grammatical concepts and literary material, so that they can do their best.
In today's changing world I truly feel that foreign languages are a necessary skill for all. Good communication skills remain an essential for everyone. Speaking foreign languages help people to pass exams, of course, but the insights they gain into other cultures are a great asset in all aspects of life. The greater understanding and fluency a student gains in this way helps them do their bit for world peace - and this remains the goal at the core of all my lessons.

I have taught French in secondary schools in England, France, Canada and Switzerland; I have broad experience of teaching and tutoring C.E., GCSE, IB and A level. My students have gained impressive grades through my guidance and their hard work.
I have also tutored privately for many years and can tailor lessons to your needs, at all levels. I am familiar with the requirements of different examination boards and make sure that the material I offer (from your textbooks, or material that I write myself) is related to exams you will be taking
I have taught students of French and ESL from age 8 onwards, in England and in Switzerland.
I also offer French conversation classes at all levels, for school students and adults.
