Originally from Manchester, I obtained a first class degree in English and French Literature from Warwick University. I have worked in London schools for 12 years, 10 of those as an English teacher. I love reading and writing, and am committed to sharing that love and enthusiasm with my students!

As a secondary English teacher with 10 years of experience in London schools, I am extremely knowledgeable about the demands of KS3, KS4 and KS5 English Language and English Literature. I plan and deliver bespoke hour-long sessions that cater to the needs and interests of my tutees, focusing equally on exploring texts and on academic writing practice. I am passionate about my subject and love seeing tutees flourish and gain confidence - culminating in joy when they open their results envelope in August! I have also worked as an AQA examiner for three years, so I can mark and grade GCSE essays with accuracy, allowing for precise and useful feedback.
