About Khadija
I have always had a strong passion for mathematics—it has consistently been my favorite subject and a natural strength of mine. I enjoy helping others build confidence in math and showing students that it doesn’t have to feel overwhelming or intimidating. With my experience as a former math tutor at the University of Virginia and my graduate training at Emory University, I bring both strong technical skills and a patient, supportive teaching approach. I truly enjoy breaking down complex concepts into simple, understandable steps and helping students realize that math can not only make sense, but also be enjoyable and rewarding to learn.

My lessons are structured, supportive, and tailored to each student’s learning style and level. I begin every session with a 5-minute warm-up to assess where the student currently is and identify any gaps in understanding. From there, I teach the concept step-by-step, walking through carefully curated examples that match how the student learns best—whether that’s visual, conceptual, or practice-based—so they can truly understand the why behind the method, not just memorize steps.
We then work through practice problems together, gradually building independence and confidence. I prioritize creating a clear way of thinking so students can approach new problems on their own. At the end of each lesson, we review answers, break down any mistakes in detail, and reinforce key concepts to ensure long-term understanding. My goal is not just correct answers, but helping students feel confident, capable, and prepared moving forward.
