About Aurora
My teaching style is rooted in a deep commitment to ensuring that all my students feel confident, supported, capable, and empowered throughout their own journey toward success. I encourage students to share their perspectives, embrace their strengths, and develop into the best independent super-learners they can become.
As a high-achieving honors student at one of Canada’s most renowned private schools, Appleby College, and a recipient of the Sir Edmund Walker Scholarship, I have been consistently recognized for my academic excellence, leadership, athletic achievements, and meaningful contributions to my school community. Throughout my education, I have actively sought opportunities to mentor others, lead with kindness, and make a positive impact both inside and outside the classroom.
Beyond academics, I have competed in rep volleyball for four years on some of Ontario’s top teams, where I have developed the importance of discipline, resilience, teamwork, and perseverance. My experience providing private volleyball instruction and volunteering at youth volleyball camps has strengthened my ability to coach young athletes with patience, encouragement, and personalized guidance.
My teaching philosophy is simple: every student learns differently. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach, I take the time to understand each student’s individual learning style and adapt my lessons accordingly. Whether we are working on mathematics, English, conversational Spanish, or volleyball, I focus on building confidence alongside skill development so that students leave each lesson feeling motivated, accomplished, and proud of their progress.
Outside of school, I have gained valuable professional experience by working alongside my father in our family business, contributing to a variety of projects including business operations, customer communication, and the redesign of the company’s website. These experiences have strengthened my organization, professionalism, communication skills, and ability to approach challenges with creativity and problem-solving.
Above all, I strive to be someone students genuinely enjoy learning with. My goal extends beyond improving grades or athletic performance—I hope to inspire curiosity, resilience, and lifelong confidence in learning. I believe that when students feel truly supported, they become more willing to challenge themselves, embrace new opportunities, and recognize their full potential.
