About Michael
I am a rising sophomore in high school who ended the 9th grade school year with a 4.2 GPA, an A- in AP Physics 1, and a 5 on the AP exam. In middle school, I earned straight A's in Algebra and Geometry. I have experience teaching a dance discipline to youth my age and younger, as well as years of experience as a mentor, being the oldest of all of my cousins and siblings. My love for teaching and knowledge comes from my dance discipline, breaking, which has taught me the importance of a quality mentor, interpersonal connections, and guiding the youth. Despite my youth, I hope I am able to surprise you, my client, through my passion for teaching, as well as my diligence and honesty-focused approach.

As a high school student, I have relevant experience as a learner that I carry over into my teaching basis.
Students experience drive and curiosity through belief in the ability to progress. I believe that a student's work can never be fully wrong, and whether it is in the approach or creativity in regard to a problem, there is always something to highlight in the student's solution.
Listening is a hard task at a young age, but it is a task made much easier when a sense of care and respect is present between a student and teacher. That is why I offer two free sessions, one where I do nothing except honestly speak with and connect with the student.
Especially in mathematics, many students struggle due to poorly taught fundamentals. Reviewing fundamentals not only builds the student's self-confidence, but also bridges any learning gaps that may have been overseen earlier.
