About Maria
I am a History student at the University of Worcester. I have studied English Literature and History since secondary school.
I have taught English Literature for two years to five A level Literature students at my old school Maiden Erlegh, and their grades have improved significantly from Cs and Ds to Bs and As.
I had a mentor-tutor system in my school. Fortunately, us tutors were taught how to teach younger students to improve their skills and grades. I have taught English and English Literature, Maths, all sciences and History - to numerous GCSE students for three years. We as student tutors were assigned new children every few weeks. We can see a significant difference in the confidence and comprehension of the tutees by the end of the very first lesson.
I am confident with my Literature skills as I have inherited it from my family. My Grandfather and Great-Grandfather, both had a Degree and Masters in English Literature.

My teaching method is simple, approaching the topic according to the understanding and comprehension of each child as they all learn differently - in their own unique ways. I tend to prepare the lectures beforehand, however, after delivering a lecture with basic skills, I attend to the children individually to mould my words to their understanding.
