About Ellie
I am a recent graduate from the University of Oxford, gaining a 2:1 with a distinction in French speaking. I came to Oxford from an under privileged background, so I know hard difficult it can be to feel at grips with certain material, but I also know very well how to combat these fears and turn them into academic weapons instead. My passion for languages has extended to many things, including being a translation volunteer, and doing lots of outreach work which has included giving tutorials of my own to other prospective students. Because of my love for languages, I'll be starting a masters in Translation later this year. Languages are such a vast things to learn, and so I want to be a flexible tutor who can help with grammar, language, literature, cinema, and anything else that arises!

Being familiar with the system of tutoring from my four years at Oxford, I know that tutoring should be an individual learning process, which is exactly what I am to provide in my tutoring sessions. I aim to create a plan with the student that caters towards their needs and their interests, whilst also filling in the gaps in their knowledge which will allow them to improve and make process in their work. Languages can often be tricky and very specific, so it's important to understand why these things happen before anything. I also have a particular love for French literature, as well as grammar, and am able to advise on applications to Oxbridge at the same time.
