About Fabio
I am a curious and motivated individual with a strong background in chemistry and scientific research. I have a keen eye for detail and enjoy working on complex problems, whether in the lab, analyzing data, or writing technical reports. Over the years, I have gained experience in both academia and industry, which has allowed me to develop a practical and hands-on approach to problem solving.
I received my PhD in polymer physics from the University of Sheffield, where I studied the crystallisation of thin-film semiconducting polymers and how confinement affects their morphology and crystal structures. I worked with techniques such as spectroscopic ellipsometry, small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) to analyse these materials.
Beyond the technical side, I really enjoy collaborating with people from different backgrounds and nationalities. I am fluent in English and Italian, and I am currently learning Dutch and French to develop my ability to communicate with others.
I am always ready to take on new challenges and seize new opportunities for growth, whether it is acquiring new skills, tackling complex projects or working in a dynamic environment.
Oh, and finally, I am very passionate about nature, the environment and I take the fight against climate change to heart!

I taught private lessons during my undergraduate and graduate studies, as well as laboratory demonstrations during my doctorate.
