I have 4 years of experience in the classroom and also tutoring students in a one-on-one manner and in small groups. I have 4 years of experience as a certified regular education and English as a second language teacher> My teaching certification is kindergarten to sixth grade. My ESL certification is kindergarten through high school. I have a masters degree in English as a second language.
I believe all students can learn and they learn in different ways, therefore instruction should be differentiated to suit the needs of each individual student. Student interest plays a large role and to be effective in helping my students, I focus on this to motivate students to learn and to enjoy learning.
I teach various techniques that have been proven to be extremely effective in increasing reading, comprehension and writing skills. Students can use these techniques throughout their lives to become lifelong learners.
