About SEAN
I am a qualified language teacher with over 30 years' experience and a proven track record of success. I have helped all kinds of students from very diverse backgrounds, from bus drivers to Premier League footballers. I graduated from City of London University and am also an Oxford University Press author. As an Item-Writer for Cambridge ESOL, I also worked for several years on writing exam questions, largely for Preliminary English Test (PET) and Cambridge Advanced English (CAE). In addition, I have lived and worked in various countries, speak Italian and Spanish fluently and have a very good knowledge of Portuguese and French too.

My teaching style is very much learner centred and I am a very good listener. My lessons are varied and dynamic, aimed at getting learners to practise speaking and listening as much as possible in order to boost confidence and fluency. Accuracy is another important objective and I have developed extremely effective ways of explaining grammar. I am able to establish very good rapport with my students in a short time, whatever their age or background, can easily empathise with them and understand the challenges they face.
