About Siddhant

Mathematics is a language and is rarely taught as such. It's not a set of rules, but a series of logical implications right from the very definition of numbers.

As a lifelong mathematician, I bring forth the beauty of logic and clarity to every mathematics lesson. My name means "The Fundamental Truth or Principle," and that's exactly what I deliver. The current status quo in mathematics education is to teach students tricks and rules that need to be followed. My approach however, is fundamentally different. I ensure my students understand where the rules and seemingly obvious mathematical operations come from and what their consequent implications are.

I ask and answer questions that often don't occur to students. I reward curiosity and persistence. Join my class, and you'll never leave confused. I tailor each session to your unique way of thinking, ensuring you grasp every concept well enough to produce mathematical ideas from scratch.

My unique value proposition is that I understand absolutely every way of thought the student may have, and am therefore able to enable understanding from the first principles.

Let's explore math together and make it an exciting journey. Ready to see math in a whole new light? Let's connect for a demo lesson!

I teach everything in the absolute fundamental manner regardless of the difficulty of the topic. In fact, this exercise itself makes difficulty irrelevant, as the first principles are fundamentally meant to be understandable by an average human being, given they are taught the right way, which is noticeably rare, and exactly what I intend to change with my teaching.

Mathematics is simply the language of logic, which means there is a reason for everything. My entire focus is therefore to teach my students the "mathematical way of thought" as I call it, such that mathematics flows naturally to them.

I have a 100% success rate of answering every question posed by a student in such a manner and to such an extent, that my students can further teach the topic to their peers. I make sure to ask my students to teach what they learnt back to me to ensure absolute clarity of understanding. The classes are high energy, and extremely rewarding for the students.

Research is an additional critical skill I make the conscious effort to teach. None of my students have ever left my class confused and I intend to maintain that!

  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

My expertise is across the spectrum of Science and Arts with my core competencies as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Writing. I am actively teaching all of these subjects, and each has a very interesting story leading up to becoming a part of my professional repertoire. I was naturally a logical thinker since as far back as I can remember, and mathematics came naturally to me as the optimal language for precise communication of ideas. As I grew older, I mastered the language of maths, and with that came a mastery of physics and chemistry. My interest in Physics peaked at the end of my 12th grade when I decided to join IIT Kanpur as a Physics Undergraduate. Fate took an interesting turn after my first year at IIT Kanpur as I fell in love with the molecular basis of life and everything that is built on top of that (biology). I became the topper of my batch in Biological Sciences and changed my degree to Biological Sciences & Bioengineering, and ultimately graduated with a B.Tech. in Biotechnology from IIT Kanpur.
  • What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

Since I was a little kid, my perennially logical outlook towards everything and the tendency to ask questions that didn't even cross my teachers' minds made me have to research and figure things out on my own. After all, I was just a little kid, and this process used to become too involved and difficult for me. I used to spend months looking for reasons behind ideas that all my peers and teachers used to just accept as fact. This journey automatically moulded me into a professor as I grew older.
  • How does your work help society?

I answer questions that are rarely asked even by teachers. Why is a(b+c) = ab + ac?
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

I have always been my own role model, and I make sure to mentor my students to look up to themselves and subconsciously keep working on becoming their own better versions every day.
  • Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

I like to jump into new things, and move on to others after mastering them. One day I started producing music on garageband, and 2 days later, I released my single on YouTube and Spotify. Now I am attempting to create a completely automated online D2C store (0 human intervention).
  • Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

No anecdotes. I have noticed something interesting over years of teaching though. Curiosity decreases as we grow older. It is essential to mentor students and inculcate a drive of curiosity and exploration at a young age. :)
