About Adrian
My academic background is in engineering and neuroscience, and I have been programming for over seven years. I have worked on a wide range of programming applications including video game design, simulation software, as well as web page and app design. Programming offers such a creative and fun way to tackle a limitless range of challenges that I would be very excited to help you gain the tools to develop your own projects! I have taught programming in one-to-one sessions but have also taught programming at a group level, at the University of Amsterdam. There I gave classes to students from a wide range of abilities, most of whom had zero experience with programming, and within a few weeks every single student was able to develop their own software for psychology experiments. I prefer teaching Python or MATLAB, but am open to using different languages if you already have some preference!

I do not believe in a one size fits all approach to teaching – everyone learns best through different approaches. Being dyslexic I have had to spend a lot of time researching different teaching methods to see what works best for me, however this is now something I can draw on when organising my own classes. I prefer to take a more personal approach to tutoring by taking the time to understand the source of any difficulties a student is facing. As such I adapt my exercises and learning tools with the intention of ultimately motivating the student about the subject. If you are looking for help with schoolwork, wish to further develop personal projects, or are looking to develop skills for a particular career (game development, front-end development, data visualisation…), I will create a personalised syllabus and can provide you with weekly coding challenges to ensure you meet your objectives!

Perfect! He is a good tutor. His teaching style could fit any time of learner—strong knowledge on programming.
- Fits clearly has a developed understanding of the topic, having included and incorporated many of the tools necessary to develop the quiz. Understanding how to reorganise the structure of the code will be addressed in future classes by looking at control flow.Adrian's response :
