About Tyler
I am a first year Imperial mechanical engineering undergraduate with a strong academic and tutoring background. I achieved 4 A*s at A Level (Maths, Physics, Biology and FM self taught) and expect to be in the top 5% of my university cohort when results are announced, highlighting that I understand what is required during independent study to succeed in academics. I also have a combined 2 years of tutoring experience leading group sessions at Explore Learning as well as providing 1 to 1 support at school and privately, which has given me a chance to refine my tutoring approach. I love helping people and sharing my knowledge with others, and so tutoring is the perfect role for me as I am compensated for doing the things that I love.

I believe the best way to tutor is to teach students how to independently tackle and solve problems - my philosophy is not to show you the answer, but to platform you to reach the answer yourself. As such, my sessions will be heavily focused on solving problems on a particular topic of interest, where I will show you specific techniques and methods to quickly and efficiently solve these questions. Sessions are typically an hour long and targeted at GCSE/A Level Maths, Physics and FM, and I also offer out of session support for regular tutees if you require help on specific questions.
