About Aleema
Hello! I am currently in my first year at Imperial College London studying Molecular Bioengineering. Prior to this, I have achieved all A/A*s at GCSE and 3As at A-level.
Picking my engineering degree was a no-brainer for me as it incorporates everything that I love - Biology, Chemistry and Maths, alongside other useful subjects such as Physics which I have enjoyed delving in further this year. I am willing to help my students improve through a variety of techniques suited for them - such as, diagrams, mind-maps, exam questions. I hope that my passion for sciences and maths, will aid students in the further understanding of difficult topics and ultimately for them to ace those exams.

From my tutoring experience in the past, I realise that every student learns and thrives in a different way. Therefore my tutoring techniques will be adapted to every individual student to ensure they feel comfortable and also confident in their abilities and this will include working at a pace which is suitable for the students. Highlighting any weaknesses the student has on a particular topic is key, as it will allow me to effectively plan sessions for these topics based up on the subject syllabus and specification.
From my experience, I understand that the biggest difficulty in GCSE and A-Level exams is nailing that exam technique. Naturally, during my tutoring this will be something I will focus on alongside explaining those difficult topics and concepts. I am keen on the fact that students should go away feeling that they fully understand the topic and how to apply these to any exam questions. Secondly, I want to ensure that my tutoring sessions are as interactive as possible therefore I will encourage students to ask any questions, and also ask questions myself to ensure that they have a good understanding of the topic before moving on. I believe the best way for a student to learn is through practise and so I will provide many practice questions throughout the sessions, allowing the student to work on the question and then guiding them through the answers.
