Dylan gave me lessons in melodic improvisation that I found invaluable to developing as a vocalist. He showed me how to approach melody by breaking down the individual components so that I could conceptualise them in the simplest terms as possible in order to focus on the creative aspect of improvisation. His open attitude to different types of learning made it easy to feel comfortable and open up creatively.
