About Monika
I am a friendly and patient Indian classical music teacher who enjoys helping beginners discover their voice. I have a B.A. Degree in Indian Classical Music, and I am now starting my teaching journey with confidence and enthusiasm. I start with simple breathing, ear-training and basic sur exercises, and then gradually introduce alankars, ragas, and songs. I explain every exercise clearly and make sure the student feels relaxed and comfortable. I pay attention to each person’s strengths and challenges and guide them with simple demonstrations and personalized feedback. My goal is to make learning music enjoyable, stress-free and confidence-building for all beginners. Whether you want to learn classical music, bhajans, light classical or Bollywood, I will guide you step by step.

My classes are designed especially for beginners, both adults and children. Each session is 60 minutes and taught online in a calm, patient and step-by-step method. We start with breathing, ear-training, sargam and alankars before moving to sur/swar practice and songs. I teach at a slow and comfortable pace, and I also send practice recordings and give simple homework to help you improve confidently.
