About Jonathan
Innovative and Personalised Online English Teaching
With over a decade of experience as an English teacher, and a Master's Degree with Distinction in Online and Distance Education, my tutoring combines tried-and-tested teaching methods with innovative online technologies. I create personalised online learning content for each student, embracing a collaborative pedagogy with a focus on interactivity and engagement. My aim is to work with, not speak at, each learner, encouraging dialogue and collaboration.
I work as an online English and Literature tutor for students at all stages of Secondary school, as well as an Academic Writing Specialist for undergraduates and postgraduate students. I have a record of success in GCSE and A Level teaching, and have a high satisfaction rating from university students as a specialist in writing for academic purposes. My friendly, encouraging, and approachable style has been complimented by learners at all levels, and my passion for online English teaching will quickly become apparent!

My pedagogy is essentially participatory and collaborative, working with students through modelling, discussion, and co-authoring. Once I've identified a learner's needs, I create personalised online content for our sessions, based on cutting-edge teaching methodology informed by my recent MA in Online and Distance Education, in which I earned a Distinction.
