About Carter
For 11 years, I have been committed to helping students enjoy learning the flute through clear guidance and continuous encouragement. I teach school and college students and believe every learner has the potential to succeed.
My lessons are designed to build strong fundamentals through breathing, posture, finger coordination, rhythm, scales, tone production, and articulation. As students improve, I introduce musical expression and performance confidence.
Watching students achieve their goals through dedication has been the most satisfying part of my profession. Besides flute, I also teach music theory, ear training, sight reading, rhythm practice, music appreciation, and beginner keyboard skills.
My aim is to make every lesson enjoyable while helping students become confident musicians.

I believe that every student has the ability to become a confident flute player. My teaching approach combines Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity to create lessons that are enjoyable, organized, and effective.
Students begin by learning posture, breathing techniques, finger placement, note reading, rhythm, and tone production. As their skills improve, they continue with articulation, scales, musical expression, improvisation, dynamics, and concert preparation.
Motivation helps students believe in themselves and enjoy regular practice. Communication is open, patient, and interactive so every lesson becomes easy to understand. Integrity guides my teaching with honesty, fairness, respect, and professionalism.
Creative activities include movie songs, classical music, rhythm exercises, duet practice, ear training, listening activities, improvisation, and music appreciation. Besides flute, I teach recorder, music theory, beginner keyboard, sight reading, rhythm development, and performance coaching.
