About Leeanne
I love my job as an educator. There is no greater joy than seeing students being completely engaged and loving their learning. The challenge of hooking students is something I'm passionate about. I leave no students behind and get so excited about their growth. Through my international teaching my eyes, mind and heart have been opened in ways I could never have imagined - I have grown as a person and an educator and love the idea of sharing my knowledge and skills in ways that help others.

I am a trained and certified New Zealand teacher with many years of international school teaching - subjects = English Language Arts and Social Studies).
Most of my experience lies within the 8 - 14 year level. I have had much success in improving students writing and reading skills.
Lessons will be anywhere from 40 minutes to an hour. We will always begin with a fun warm-up and a recap of the previous lesson to ensure students are engaged from the beginning. During each session, I will teach a new lesson or reinforce a skill that needs re-taught or more time to learn - pre and post-quizzes will help determine these. We will always finish with an 'exit ticket' to determine the effectiveness of the lesson.
