An Irish English teacher! I left school with top grades in English and a desire to study the subject much further which led me to compete a BA at Trinity College Dublin where I completed a dissertation in my final year. Following this, I decided to complete a PGCE at Edge Hill University after I received a scholarship for this course. Upon completion of the course, I acquired a PGDip as I had successfully completed each of the modules to masters standard. During my PCGE year, I applied for one teaching position at Wade Deacon High School where I was the sole candidate kept after the teaching component. I have worked at this Ofsted rated outstanding school for the past three years developing the curriculum, sharing best practice, delivering lessons and revision sessions whilst also developing the English department's links with not only feeder schools in the area but also universities too.
