About Cristina
Ciao! I'm Cristina, a native Italian currently on a gap year before starting a Bachelor in Social Anthropology in London. I completed the IB Diploma and studied in international schools, including a six-month experience in Vancouver (Canada), which gave me firsthand insight into learning and adapting in a new environment. I have experience as a research assistant for an anthropologist at the University of Genova, a volunteer translator for the World History Encyclopaedia, and have participated in Oxford and Cambridge essay competitions. These experiences reflect the passion I nurture for discovering and understanding cultural realities different from my own. Alongside my academic pursuits, I have been tutoring children, helping them improve their language skills from beginner to intermediate levels. I am very patient, especially with younger learners, and I focus on making lessons engaging for whichever kind of student you are.

My main focus is real-life communication. This includes speaking, writing, listening, and reading comprehension. But, above all, I care about helping you build confidence in using Italian. Every lesson is personalised according to your level (whether you're a beginner or an advanced speaker), your goals, and your interests. I love getting to know what you enjoy so we can make each class engaging and relevant to you. Having tutored primary and middle school students, I know how challenging it can be to keep their attention. But with a few tricks, even grammar can become fun. Once it's understood properly, it's just a matter of practice!
