About Gonzalo
I'm a saxophonist, composer, and educator with over 20 years of experience performing and teaching jazz. I studied with Dave Liebman, Donny McCaslin, Seamus Blake, George Garzone, Fred Hersch, and David Kikoski — and I bring that lineage directly into my teaching.
I work with intermediate and advanced saxophone students who want to go deeper into jazz improvisation, harmony, chord scales, bebop language, jazz standards, and musical interpretation. I also prepare students for conservatory auditions and entrance exams.
Lessons cover improvisation through scales, modes, and harmony; transcription of jazz masters; repertoire development; ear training; and sight-reading — always connected to real musical situations, not isolated exercises.
Technique, sound production, articulation, and rhythm are developed as tools to support musical flow and expression.
Classes are structured but flexible, fully adapted to each student's goals: jazz performance, conservatory preparation, or overall musical development. Available online worldwide.

Perfect! I started training under Gonzalo after a 10 year break from saxophone playing. Our focus has been sound production and Jazz development.
