About Amanda
Hi! My name is Amanda and I am currently studying Journalism at Bucks County Community College in Newtown, PA. I graduated from Council Rock High School North with a 3.2 GPA, and have taken part in the National English Honor Society (NEHS) from my sophomore to senior year. I have participated in several volunteering opportunities with children including Vacation Bible School at Newtown Presbyterian Church and New Life Christian Church, and I am also an ambassador for Save The Children.
When I am not tutoring or studying, you can find me at home watching Formula 1 races with my 3 dogs and 1 kitten, while also cooking up something good in the kitchen!

My typical lesson plan includes working on any current schoolwork the student may have in the subject of reading and English, teaching new skills not taught in the classroom including literacy skills, and introducing new readings to students at their reading level.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my kindness. I am accepting of all students no matter their level, their strengths, their weaknesses, and their achievements. I am committed to creating a welcoming and safe environment for students to achieve their absolute best.
My lessons are good for those in grades K-8 and I am able to personalize my lessons to accommodate any requests from teachers or parents.
