About Austin
I have 9 years of Piano tutoring experience and teach school students, college students, and working professionals. My goal is to help every learner build a strong foundation while developing confidence and enjoyment in playing piano.
I believe students learn best when their lessons are connected to their interests and goals. I first understand their current piano skills, musical preferences, learning style, practice schedule, and challenges. I then adapt my teaching methods to suit them.
I teach piano basics, posture, hand coordination, finger technique, scales, chords, rhythm, music theory, note reading, sight-reading, ear training, song learning, improvisation, and performance skills.
I use clear explanations, demonstrations, practical exercises, and songs to make learning interesting. I encourage students to understand the reason behind each exercise and apply it while playing.
My teaching philosophy is based on patience, communication, flexibility, understanding, and motivation. I encourage learners to ask questions and share their concerns. I believe a supportive learning environment helps students stay focused and confident.
I also teach practice planning and time management. I help students create realistic routines, set short-term goals, work through challenging sections, and track their improvement.
A notable achievement in my 9-year teaching journey is gaining experience with students from school, college, and professional backgrounds. This has helped me become an adaptable and supportive tutor.
My goal is to help students become confident piano players who can continue learning independently. Whether you are beginning your piano journey or improving existing skills, I provide personalized lessons focused on your individual goals.

My piano teaching methodology is based on Adaptation to Learning Styles, Flexibility, Collaboration, and Positivity. I believe regular practice becomes more effective when students understand what they are practicing and feel encouraged throughout the process.
I begin by understanding the student's piano level, musical interests, learning style, and goals. I then create lessons that combine technique, theory, practical exercises, and suitable songs.
Beginners can learn posture, hand position, finger exercises, notes, rhythm, scales, chords, and simple pieces. Experienced learners can improve sight-reading, technique, musical expression, interpretation, and performance.
I use demonstrations, listening, written examples, repetition, and guided piano practice. I teach students how to break difficult pieces into smaller sections and practice them step by step.
Flexibility allows me to adjust practice tasks and lesson pace according to progress. Collaboration encourages students to communicate their challenges, choose suitable music, and set realistic goals.
I use positivity to keep students motivated. Mistakes are treated as opportunities to improve, and I provide constructive feedback.
Along with piano, I can teach music theory, keyboard skills, rhythm, chords, sight-reading, ear training, basic composition, and music appreciation. My goal is to help students develop effective practice habits and enjoy continuous musical growth.
