About TIA
I am currently a student at the University of Bristol and am really interested in helping, nurturing and educating other students just like me and younger, in a way that I feel I would have benefitted from as I was learning. I’ve studied a range of different subjects from theatre studies to history of art and have also been involved in various extra curriculars including filmmaking. I feel as though this has helped me broaden my creative mind and therefore can apply this to tutoring my students in both teaching style and content. Having had difficulties in the past I can definitely sympathise with the way in which learning processes vary within individuals and would therefore cater all of my tutoring to my students personal way of processing knowledge.

My lessons ultimately prioritise listening to and engaging with the students needs in order to cater to their personal learning style. I, myself have benefitted in the past from teachers who took the time to understand my learning process, thus I want to undoubtedly do the same with my students. I want to keep my sessions varied using a range of different tasks and tools in order to keep my students engaged and generate the ‘want’ to learn more. I am keen to help my tutees flourish while I adapt my teaching style to how their learning process works providing enjoyable sessions.
