About Zuzanna
I'm Zuzanna - nice to meet you!
My whole life so far has been centred around languages: learning langauges and the cultures they belong to, teaching, and constantly being surrounded by the desire to learn and know more.
I'm Polish, and having moved to the UK age 5, I know the struggle of having to learn a new language in order to fit in with your surroundings. At school I began learning French and Italian, and recently I graduated in these languages from Durham University with a Distinction in Spoken Italian. Currently, I am working as an interpreter, translating and speaking all 4 of these languages on a daily basis for technical support.
While I love my job, my passion lies in teaching and being able to pass my knowledge onto others, just like my teachers did. I would love to devote more of my time to inspiring a love for languages in anyone I can - no matter who it is! I'm sure we will get along great. :)

I have been tutoring adults privately since the beginning of the pandemic alongside my own language studies, and now that I have graduated with Distinction, I would like to devote more of my time to spreading my love for langauges and helping others succeed like I was able to thanks to my teachers!
As someone who has first-hand experience learning a new language 3 times, I know that there is no 'one size fits all' approach to learning. My lessons are completely tailored to your needs, whatever they may be: improving your conversational level, your grammar knowledge, working on specific vocabulary for your job... You tell me, in my 18 years of language learning I guarantee I've been there and helped someone through the struggles you're experiencing.
My lessons are usually between 45 to 60 minutes, to your preference. In the first lesson we have a conversation in the target language, talk about your experience, strengths and weaknesses (in the language you're comfortable in), and complete a language test of my making together to determine your language level. From there I can determine a rough plan for the next few lessons, which will always begin with a short test of the skills discussed in the previous session.
My English lessons are predominantly for adults as this is what I have the most experience in, however I am happy teaching English to anyone whatever their level. I am confident teaching French, Italian and Polish up to C1 (advanced) level, whatever your age. I have particular expertise teaching grammar and essay technique for French and Italian GCSE and A Level exam preparation.
Nobody is too young, too old, too "stuck in their ways" or not "talented enough" to master a language - I will show you.
