About Ilana
Hi! I'm Lani, a Cornell University graduate with a Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and over 10 years of tutoring experience. Throughout my career, I've worked with students of all ages, from elementary school through college, helping them build confidence, master challenging material, and achieve their academic goals.
I specialize in SAT and ACT preparation, math, science, and executive functioning. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and highly individualized. I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to their unique strengths, learning style, and goals. Rather than focusing on memorization, I help students develop the critical thinking and problem-solving skills they need to succeed both on exams and in the classroom.
