About Raeesa

I take my lessons seriously and always aim to create a positive and welcoming learning environment. I believe patience, consistency and good communication are important when learning a new language. I am approachable, organised and always willing to adapt when something isn't working for a student.

I want every student to feel that they can learn without being embarrassed about making mistakes or asking questions. I understand that building confidence takes time, and I am happy to work through things step by step. You can expect me to be prepared, supportive and committed to making our lessons worthwhile. I look forward to meeting you and being part of your learning journey!

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is patient, flexible and centred around the individual student. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I like to get to know each student and find an approach that works for them. I believe learning should be interactive and enjoyable, rather than feeling like another school task.

My lessons focus on English, including reading, writing, spelling, vocabulary, grammar and everyday communication. As a native English speaker, I am comfortable teaching in English. I also have an understanding of Afrikaans and Arabic, which can be helpful when working with learners from different language backgrounds.

A typical lesson with me includes conversation, guided activities, practical examples and opportunities to practise what we have learnt. I like to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning at their own pace.

My lessons are suited to young learners, beginners and students who would like to strengthen their English skills. Whether you are learning English for the first time, need help with schoolwork or simply want to become more comfortable speaking the language, I am happy to adapt lessons to your needs and goals.
