About Juliette
I am passionate about languages, intercultural learning, and education. I speak fluently four languages, Spanish, English, Portuguese and French, the latter being my mother tongue.
I completed my university studies in Paris, and of course I studied languages!
I have a master degree of professional translation. When I'm not a teacher, I'm a translator and proofreader (English>French, and Portuguese>French).
I have lived in different parts of the world, including Chile, Brazil, and the U.S. I'm currently living in Sydney.
I am certfified by Alliance Française to teach French as a foreign language.
I am also a certifed examinator and corrector for the DELF and DALF exams.

"Have fun and learn" is what I believe in. Jean de Lafontaine already claimed this method ("apprendre en se divertissant"), and it is the most efficient way of learning. A safe environment, topics tailored to the learner's interests, a variety of exercises that can cater different learning styles, real-life situations and the use of authentic documents in French (audio, video, texts) is what you will get in my classes. My teaching method is based on the action-oriented approach which is recommended by the Alliance Française. This approach is also used as a reference in the European Union to define levels of proficiency in foreign languages.

Perfect! Juliette is an amazing teacher. Lessons were well organised, structured and tailored to your interests, level and goals. I always felt it was a safe learning environment to make mistakes, and she strikes the balance between encouragement and correction well. She is also just super interesting and knowledgeable, and it was always a pleasure to come to class. Couldn't recommend a teacher higher!

I'm pleased to recommend Juliette as a teacher. She's kind and very patient. Her classes are always very fun, because of her creativity and passion. Also, Juliette's knowledge of French language and literature is quite impressive!
Juliette is a very challenging professor. She will get the best out of you. Nothing less. Also, you will never get bored. She will pay attention to your interests and make it part of her lessons. The time flies. I recommend her cause you will see progress each week. She taught me French from the beginning and now am capable to develop a conversation. Very happy with her teaching and dedication to each lesson.
