About André
Hi, my name is André. I'm a materials engineer located in Toronto, Canada, and recently received my PhD. in materials science from U of Toronto. I have a wide knowledge base, from physics to chemistry to mathematics, and have been teaching off and on for the last 7 years as both a teaching assistant during my PhD., and more recently as a professor (remotely) of computer aided design for Algonquin College. I enjoy teaching and watching students grow and succeed on their academic path!

I am, especially in these uncertain times, a huge advocate for interactive learning, hands-on if possible. I really see the importance of using exciting, tangible examples to supplement the "drier" content and keep things interesting. I also think teamwork is just as important as individual work, so I try and incorporate a good balance of that when I'm teaching groups. My classes would be more appropriate for later high school (grades 11-12) or introductory university/college.
