About Shawn
I have been teaching reading with all levels of students from Kindergarten to adults. I have been in the special education profession for over 30 years and without a doubt, reading is my favorite. I can also teach beginning math and writing. My dedication to teaching has given me proven results in academics, behavioral, and social-emotional skills. I use methods in Applied Behavior Analysis and specific instruction in teaching students in a safe and fun environment.

I have been teaching over 30years. I am specialized in special education with a masters in Special Education. My specialty is teaching phonemic awareness, phonics and fluency. I design my lessons around the needs of the student so we can see progress and growth immediately. I am student focused, data based and efficient in my approach to teaching.
