About Jamie
I am an award-winning designer and founder of the Biomimicry Frontiers and Biomimicry Commons (Fast Company's 2019 "World Changing Idea"). I have been trained by Janine Benyus (the author of “Biomimicry: Innovation Inspired by Nature”) and have been teaching, researching and coaching individuals and corporations around the world since 2007. My unique perspective uses nature as the baseline for tapping into people's potential, teaching them how to see their genius through a uniquely natural lens. This method has been developed through my course development and teaching at Queen's University, OCAD University and University of Guelph, since 2005. In 2016, I also received a Ph.D. in engineering, which focused on the relationship between psychology and design - i.e. resilience how we deal with uncertainty.
Beyond just universities, I have also been providing personal and group coaching since 2015. I focus specifically on men, relationships, and job development - leveraging my education and ability to connect to people's genius to help them develop their pure, natural potential.

Therefore, I focus on what you are a "natural at" to help dissolve those barriers and connect you to your true potential. I use nature, and exploration, as the foundation for connecting you to your deep potential. Life should be fun and things seem more fun when they feel easy. I help students unlock their personal potential and approach life and learning from a place of freedom, power and ease. Plus, I believe that nature already has all the answers to how to thrive on this planet, so I use the methodology of biomimicry to help individuals unlock their own creative genius and tap into the genius of nature.
