About Gene
I’m a friendly, patient and approachable tutor who enjoys helping students build their confidence and achieve their academic goals. I achieved an A in A Level Geography, giving me a strong understanding of the subject and the skills needed to succeed in exams.
Having recently completed my own studies, I understand that Geography can sometimes feel like a lot of information to remember, particularly when it comes to case studies, processes and exam technique. I want to help students understand the subject rather than simply memorise content, while also showing them how to turn their knowledge into strong exam answers.
I’m passionate about helping students make progress, and I’ll always aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and working through areas they find difficult. Whether you’re aiming for a specific grade or simply want to feel more confident in Geography, I’ll tailor my approach to what works best for you.

My lessons are designed to be engaging and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I aim to make Geography easier to understand by breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable ideas and showing how different concepts link together.
Lessons can focus on understanding difficult topics, improving exam technique, practising exam questions, developing case-study knowledge, or preparing for upcoming exams.
I’ll work at a pace that suits you and focus on the areas where you feel you need the most support. I also place a strong emphasis on how to structure answers, use geographical evidence effectively and develop strong analysis and evaluation, helping you turn your knowledge into marks in an exam.
Whether you’re looking to improve your confidence, move up a grade or prepare for your exams, lessons will be adapted around your goals.
