About Isabel
I have completed my A Level studying English Literature&Language in which I achieved a grade A*. I have also successfully obtained a 9 in GCSE English (both Literature and Language). I also study Drama and Theatre Studies which allows me to have a better grasp of play texts and I previously studied Spanish AS (with grade A) which means I have a strong understanding of language as well. I have worked with young people in a few capacities including as a tutor, nanny, drama course assistant and on NCS. Having recently completed these courses I have a great understanding of what is required to upskill work and play to the strengths of a student.

I aim to understand how a student best learns during the first lesson, then tailor subsequent sessions to this style. For example, some students work better when moving, so I would incorporate this into the lesson. The focus of lessons will be to improve all skills, particularly those which the student struggles with most, which are required by the exam specification (if at GCSE or A Level). With my method of teaching, I encourage the student to become more confident in working independently as their weaknesses diminish so as to promote a self assurance in their own work.
