He has a relaxed, friendly teaching style - he’s great at explaining the specific problems he sees, and then tailoring drills to fix them.

I’d watched loads of YouTube videos before seeing Tom, but there’s no substitute for having someone at the poolside giving you realtime feedback.

After only a few lessons, he’s helped me to correct many bad habits, including breathing, rotation and recovery.

As a result, swimming is becoming much more enjoyable - I can feel more power in the water, and I’m not struggling for breath so much.

Will definitely be continuing the lessons.

Since I can remember I have had a terrifying fear of floating. Not being underwater, just floating! Having had over seven previous swim teachers and years of trying to, I still can't swim! I approached Tom the other day when I noticed him coaching an experienced swimmer. I spoke with him and he felt confident he could eliminate my fear of floating and get me swimming.

My first lesson was yesterday. Within 15 minutes I was under the water and floating! Within 30 minutes I swam a couple of strokes for the first time in over 50 years of trying! His approach was very different, incredibly confident, breaking down each exercise in such a way as to give me total assurance that I would be OK. I can't wait for the next lesson and am so excited about something that normally freezes me with fear. Yes I probably will have fear trying to grip me before I enter the water but I know Tom will help me banish it and let me swim.

As a former GM within the leisure industry I have employed many coaches in different fields of sport. Tom's approach is masterful. I highly recommend Tom. What a remarkable coach. His techniques can only improve your experience in the water at whatever level you are.

Tom has a fantastic demeanour when teaching and has very quickly developed a natural rapport with our two daughters. He is very patient and encouraging and their swimming has already improved after only a few lessons. He is very reliable and trustworthy. They really look forward to his lessons each week. I am 42 years old and my entire life I've been terrified of deep water as I had a couple of incidents in my childhood. But I've always wanted to swimm and couldn't find someone to trust enough so they can teach me. I found a course for swimming at a school in London and decid it to take the risk and try it.
And then is when I met Tom, which with his amazing patience and extraordinary teaching skills convinced my to listen to his commands like I would have never been scared of water. I definetly recommend him as he has changed my life completely. After just a few lessons I was confident enough to "jump" into the swimming pool like I would have done it my entire life.
