About Laura
I have 5+ years of experience teaching in university and one-on-one tutoring settings. I have a Master's degree in Linguistics and have been a researcher for almost 15 years, with multiple journal publications and conference presentations. I also have two graduate certificates in Education and a background in clinical psychology, giving me a deep understanding of the cognitive and psychological processes underlying learning.
I like to bring humor into lessons, but I am always a professional first and take your trust in me very seriously. I have had a number of long-term students who were only looking for help with a project or paper at first, but then chose to continue working with me for months or years afterward.

I tutor undergraduates, grad students, and adult learners. I provide writing support across disciplines and content instruction for all areas of Linguistics. I have also tutored many students taking courses in Speech-Language Pathology, Psychology, and Research Design.
