About Ani
As a former first-generation college student, my truest passion lies in helping students from systemically-disadvantaged communities prepare for and excel in higher ed.
I graduated with my BA in Humanities, conc. Literature in 2021, and my MA in Cultural Studies in 2023. In 2023, I received the National Council on Public History's New Professional award. I have served on committees for three distinguished professional associations and have been widely celebrated for my contributions to public history and memory work. Moreover, I have been published in journals, print books, and magazines for both fiction and nonfiction writing.

My lessons are human-centered. I do not use AI and will not accept projects where AI use is desired. Reading and writing are a primary tool for communicating our humanity and relating to others. My background in Cultural Studies serves as the foundation of my teaching approach: when we are able to document our own ideas, thoughts, and even dreams, we are better positioned to actualize them.
I am a published author a dozen times over in both fiction and nonfiction and I am eager to extend my love of reading and writing to others, particularly to those from junior high into Master's-level work.
