About Avery

I am an undergraduate student as well as a writer who graduated from high school with honors in several subjects including English, Social Studies, and Foreign Language. Throughout my time in high school and college, I have consistently helped students improve their writing skills and learn class content, often in AP classes like AP Literature & Composition.

About the lesson

When I was a middle school and early high school student, my grades, writing, and academic abilities were far below average. Many of my teachers thought of me as an unpromising student. Since then, however, I found a passion for academics, molding myself from a D student into one with straight As and a 4.0 college GPA. I still remember, though, how it felt to struggle with school when it seemed nobody had any faith in my potential to succeed. Having walked that path myself, I can offer unique support to “underachieving” students, assisting them with their academic needs while encouraging them to find their own voice and build confidence.

My services focus on students between grades 6 and 12 who want help learning class content, developing critical analysis skills, and improving their writing. I am someone who will work with you to hone your skills and bring your voice and style into your work. What I want to do is help you flourish and gain confidence in yourself: that is what I offer.
