About Laziba
I am a dedicated and approachable tutor with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for English Language and Literature.
I have completed my LLB, and I am currently studying to become a barrister. My love for English is what first inspired me to pursue a career in law. This subject has helped me develop the analytical thinking, persuasive writing and communication skills that are essential to my career.
I understand English can feel intimidating at times, especially when students are faced with complex texts and exam pressure. My aim is to create a calm and encouraging learning environment, where students feel comfortable sharing their ideas and asking questions.

My approach to tutoring English Literature and Language is friendly, supportive and student-centred. I believe teaching and learning should be an enjoyable experience, not something that overwhelms students. I encourage students to engage with texts in a way that makes them genuinely interested in what they read and write; yes, even Shakespeare!
I focus on breaking down complex ideas into clear and manageable steps. I guide students through close reading of texts, helping them understand themes, context and literary techniques while developing their own interpretations.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although this can be adapted depending on the student's needs. During sessions, I use a combination of discussion, guided analysis, practice directions and constructive feedback to ensure students improve.
My lessons are suitable for primary, secondary and GCSE-level students who want to improve their reading, writing and analytical skills.
