About David
Hi, I'm Dave. I'm a mathematical logician and philosopher, as well as a grade school teacher. I've been an instructor, tutor, course/curriculum developer for 20 years now, in the classroom (virtual and physical), and across the learning spectrum. My grade school focus has been primarily in high school math education and math course/curriculum development, while my post-secondary experience is in the area of formal logic, foundations of mathematics, and various subjects in analytic philosophy. In the area of tutoring specifically, I have provided one-on-one tutoring in classical and non-classical logics, general critical thinking, set theory, model theory, computation theory (essentially, all formal systems key to studying mathematical and philosophical logic). I have also lead classroom tutorials in sentential and predicate logics at an undergrad level and have lead classroom tutorials in various maths subjects at a secondary/high school level.

The tutorial will depend on the student's current coursework in logic. I have multiple texts on logic from high school texts covering induction/deduction units to The Logic Book (and other undergrad logic texts) to many many monographs on advanced logics and foundations of math. I’m flexible as far as student needs and learning styles are concerned and can accommodate students desiring a more straightforward tutorial environment, something closer to a prof’s office hours setting, a classroom setting/structure, etc. We can cover individual concepts for greater clarity/understanding. We can do test/exam prep. Brushups. Lecture. Just let me know.
