About Rahul

Hello! I am a medical student at the University of Manchester, currently studying for a Master’s degree in Global Health Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

I won my school’s prize for Biology. I enjoy explaining difficult ideas in a clear, simple way, and I remember what it is like to meet a topic for the first time.

I have plenty of experience helping young people learn. I have tutored GCSE Mathematics and English, delivered debate and communication classes to Year 6 pupils, taught piano to children, and coached children aged 6 to 14 in badminton. This has taught me to adapt to each student’s age, confidence, and learning style.

I speak English, French and Hindi, so I can also support students who prefer to learn in those languages.

About the lesson

My lessons are friendly, relaxed and organised around your goals, whether you want to build confidence, catch up on topics you find difficult, or aim for the highest grades.

In the first lesson, we will talk about what you want to achieve and where you feel least confident. After that, I will plan each lesson around your needs, using clear explanations, worked examples and practice questions. I will also teach you exam technique, such as how to read questions carefully and structure your answers to gain the most marks.

I give honest, encouraging feedback after every lesson and can set optional practice work between sessions. I want you to leave each lesson understanding the topic, not only knowing the answer.
