About Zain
About me
I am Zain, an aeronautics tutor based in London, specialising in helping university students make sense of real aerospace engineering, not just pass modules. I come from an engineering background with strong focus on aerodynamics, flight mechanics, aircraft structures and turbomachinery, and I understand exactly where typical course notes become confusing or incomplete.
Over the past years I have worked with aeronautical and mechanical engineering students who were struggling with core subjects such as fluid mechanics, structural analysis and propulsion, and helped them turn weak areas into reliable strengths before exams and project deadlines. My style is calm, clear and structured: I do not rush through slides, and I do not assume you “should already know this” – we rebuild from whatever level you are at now.
I specialise in one-to-one, problem-driven teaching. That means we take your actual lecture content, tutorials, past papers or project briefs and use them as the backbone of the lesson, then go deeper where the university material is too quick or too abstract. Many students come to me for support in topics like turbomachinery (compressors, turbines, performance maps), aerodynamics (aerofoils, wings, compressible flow), flight dynamics (stability and control) and aircraft structures, and stay because they finally see how the mathematics connects to the physics.
As a London-based aeronautics tutor, I work with students from Imperial, UCL and other UK universities, as well as international students online. I tailor the pace and depth to your goals: whether you want to secure a pass, push for a first, or prepare for interviews and technical tests. If you share your module outline or past exam papers, I can align the sessions exactly with your course so that every hour of tutoring translates directly into better understanding and higher marks.

About my aeronautics lessons ,
My lessons are built around one clear idea: you learn best by solving real engineering problems, not by staring at slides.
We start from where you are now – whether you are struggling with a specific course (aerodynamics, flight mechanics, structures, turbomachinery) or preparing for exams – and design a focused plan around your syllabus and deadlines. Each session has a clear goal: a concept to master, a derivation to understand, or a problem type to become fully confident with.
What we do in lessons
-Break complex topics into simple, logical steps (no skipping steps in derivations).
-Work through exam-style and assignment-style questions together, then let you try similar ones on your own with guidance.
-Connect formulas to physical meaning, so you remember why an equation looks the way it does.
-Use clear hand-drawn style explanations (forces, moments, flows, diagrams) that you can reuse in your own notes.
Typical topics I help with.
* Aerodynamics: lift/drag, boundary layers, aerofoils, wing theory.
* Flight mechanics: stability, performance, climb, turning flight.
* Structures: stress/strain, beams, fatigue, aero-structural intuition.
* Propulsion and turbomachinery: compressors, turbines, performance maps.
Lesson format
* 1:1, fully interactive – you are expected to talk, question, and attempt, not just listen.
* I adapt pace continuously: if you are fast, we push depth; if you are stuck, we slow down and rebuild foundations.
* After each lesson you leave with: a clean summary of what we covered, key formulas, and 2–3 problems to consolidate.
Who these lessons are for ?
-Undergraduate aeronautics/aerospace students in London or online.
-Students retaking modules who need a more structured, patient approach.
-Strong students aiming for higher grades who want deeper insight and exam technique.
