About Tyisha
My name is Tyisha Russell, and I’m not just a tutor—I’m a learning enthusiast who believes education should be just as exciting as it is empowering! I specialize in making lessons come alive by weaving in creativity, fun challenges, and real-world rewards to keep students engaged and motivated.
Whether we’re diving into a math puzzle, exploring a story, or breaking down a tricky topic, I aim to turn every session into a joyful, meaningful experience. I love using art, animals, and even food as learning tools—and when my students hit their goals, they earn special treats and surprises, because every achievement deserves celebration!
I’m currently writing a book as part of my early steps toward a doctorate, so learning is more than my job—it’s my passion. My favorite colors are hot pink and yellow, and I bring that bright, bold energy into everything I do. I hold both a college degree and an Associate of Arts (AA) degree, and I have a passion for working with children. I'm currently on the path to becoming a child psychiatrist, so I understand the importance of emotional well-being alongside academic success. I create a safe, encouraging environment where students feel supported and empowered to grow.
