About Ajanta

I am fluent in written and spoken Mandarin, having lived, studied and worked in China. I also have a 2.1 BA (Hons) degree in the subject, as well as HSK 3. I have been teaching Chinese for 3 years now.

About the lesson

As a native English speaker, I found the beginning stages of learning Chinese were the most difficult for me. But, having become fluent, looking back on my own learning process, I now know that it needn’t have been hard and painful! It can, in fact, be very fun and, yes, I’m going to say it... EASY! And that’s where my passion for tutoring comes in. I help students of all ages through the CRUCIAL beginner stages of learning Chinese. We build a rock solid foundation of the Chinese language which equips you with the tools to go all the way to fluency if that’s your goal!

Over the years, I have picked up and formulated some of the most effective and engaging methods of teaching and learning Chinese and I am so excited to share them with you.

I suppose like a lot of people I found the prospect of learning Chinese more than a little challenging. However, thanks to Ajanta’s enthusiasm, encouragement, support and friendly, approachable manner, I have made more progress in a relatively short time than I could have imagined. Ajanta explains everything very clearly and makes learning Chinese interesting, rewarding and a lot of fun!
Thank you Ajanta.

Ajanta is a great teacher with a wealth of knowledge in Chinese. She made difficult topics seem easy and fun, and the homework further improved my understanding of the language. Her lessons are well-priced and I couldn't recommend her highly enough!
