About Miriam
I am a native Italian speaker, born and raised in Italy before moving abroad to pursue my studies and career. Italian is my first language and I am fully bilingual in Italian and English.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and recently completed a Master’s by Research in Marine Biology at James Cook University in Australia. During my studies I worked in international environments and developed strong communication skills in both languages.
I enjoy helping others learn Italian and gain confidence in speaking the language. Teaching is very rewarding for me, and I love seeing students improve and feel more comfortable communicating in Italian and learning Sciences over time.

Imagine learning Italian and science with someone who truly listens to you, understands your challenges, and helps you turn confusion into clarity. That’s exactly what I do! I am a native Italian speaker and fully bilingual in Italian and English, with excellent written and spoken communication skills in both languages. I have experience teaching Italian to students of different ages and levels, from beginners to more advanced learners. I also have a strong background in science and can provide support in scientific subjects. My lessons are tailored to the needs, goals, and interests of each student, as everyone learns in different ways. I use an interactive teaching style that encourages students to actively participate and feel confident speaking Italian. Lessons may include conversation practice, quizzes, worksheets, and optional homework to reinforce learning and help students progress steadily. I am also happy to help students understand scientific topics and terminology in English or Italian. I am passionate about teaching and genuinely enjoy helping students improve their language skills and develop confidence in both language learning and academic subjects.
