About Daniel

I am a theoretical physicist, currently completing my PhD in Germany, and I hold a master's degree in mathematics. My background combines mathematical rigor with applications and examples, enabling me to teach both disciplines with real depth.

For the past six years, I have taught at the university level, working with undergraduate and graduate students in physics, mathematics, and engineering. This experience taught me a key lesson: most difficulties stem not from a lack of ability, but from conceptual misunderstandings that went undetected.

My philosophy is simple: there are no shortcuts. Mathematics and physics are logical structures—you either understand them correctly or you don't understand them at all. I also don't believe in the myth that they are inherently harder than other disciplines. My job is to build that genuine understanding from the ground up until the concepts become self-evident.

I am direct: if something is wrong, I will tell you clearly and explain why. I prefer productive honesty to pointless politeness. My goal is for you to develop autonomy—to learn to think clearly about problems and not to depend on me.

If you're looking for someone to teach you to think clearly, without false hopes or magic solutions, but with deep understanding and real tools, we'll work well together.

Methodology and Approach My teaching method is based on a simple principle: mathematics and physics are not collections of formulas to memorize, but logical systems that are either understood or not. I don't use mnemonic tricks or shortcuts—I teach students to think through problems correctly.

Techniques I use:
- Building from first principles: before applying formulas, we understand where they come from
- Geometric visualization: many abstract concepts become obvious with the correct representation
- Active problem-solving: students work through problems while I guide them; I don't dictate solutions
- Connecting topics: I show how concepts relate to each other, not as isolated compartments.

Typical Class Structure

Part One (15-20 min): Review of the problematic concept. I identify where the real misunderstanding lies—often it's something from a previous point that was never properly understood. We rebuild it from the correct foundation.

Part Two (30-35 min): Guided work. Students solve problems while I intervene only when they get stuck or go astray. I learn how you think in order to correct conceptual errors, not just calculations.

Closure (5-10 min): Summary of what has been learned and specific exercises to consolidate. I don't assign generic homework from the textbook—I design problems that target exactly what you need to reinforce.

What sets me apart:

I'm direct: if something is wrong, I tell you clearly and explain why. I don't sugarcoat mistakes or give false positives. This honesty accelerates learning because the student knows exactly where they stand.

I have real research training (Master's in Mathematics, PhD in Physics in progress), which means I don't just know how to solve textbook problems—I understand the theory deeply and can explain the reasoning behind each method. I adapt the level of rigor: with high school students, I emphasize intuition and problem-solving techniques; with university students, depending on the degree program, I can move on to formal proofs and advanced theory.

Who my classes are for:

High school: Mathematics (algebra, calculus, geometry) and Physics. Especially useful for university entrance exam preparation or for students who want to truly understand, not just pass.

University (first years): Calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, classical mechanics, thermodynamics. Science degrees, engineering degrees, or any degree with advanced mathematics.

Ideal student profile:

Someone motivated who genuinely wants to learn, not just pass the exam. I work particularly well with students who feel that classes in high school or university move too quickly or don't explain the underlying concepts.
I don't work well with those looking for someone to do their homework or who want effortless, magical solutions. Active participation is required.
