About Vanessa
My teaching approach combines clear guidance with creative freedom to help you grow as a guitarist and songwriter. I focus on building a strong foundation in technique while exploring songwriting and lyric accompaniment. You’ll learn how to use harmony and expressive dynamics to bring your music to life. Whether you enjoy fingerstyle playing or are starting your guitar journey later in life, I tailor lessons to fit your pace and goals. We’ll work on developing your finger independence, tone control, and rhythmic feel so you can play confidently and expressively. I believe music should be fun and meaningful. That’s why I encourage you to create your own songs and experiment with different harmonies. Together, we’ll explore how to match your playing style to the emotions you want to share. , I’m a guitar tutor with a Bachelor of Music in Popular Music, specializing in guitar. Over the past 10 years, I’ve gained hands-on experience playing a wide range of genres — from rock and blues to classical and folk. This blend of academic training and practical playing helps me create lessons that are both structured and inspiring.
I’m passionate about helping students of all ages, whether you’re a young beginner or an adult picking up the guitar later in life.
